Bug#711795: gnome-mplayer: Screen turns off (energy-save) while watching video

Update:

I've figured out what was happening. It turns out I was using
Debian-Multimedia unofficial repository. I had a version of Mplayer
installed which caused this bug. What I did was installed Mplayer2, from
Debian's official repository. Of course I had to make sure I was
installing the version available on the official repository, and not the
version on Deb-Multimedia.

I'm no longer using deb-multimedia repository, as it is suggested on
Debian's wiki: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianMultimedia/FAQ
