SuperCollider / RaspberryPi : optimising settings

Hello again,

After a reinstall of wheezy I have managed to get SC to play. I’m using supercollider-emacs. 

The results are not great ! Yet. A single SinOsc.ar <http://sinosc.ar/> takes up around 10% cpu and makes an on / off buzzing sound like an erratic old style telephone, not a lovely pure tone.

I imagine there are optimisations that can be made in Jack and elsewhere possibly. I tried some in Jack but then lost the connection altogether.

Could you point me in the right direction please ? I can’t find any up to date information on this.
