I think there cannot possibly be either consensus or disagreement
since only the "DMM cabal" is involved in this discussion. I have so
far refrained from getting involved here because I have no particular
insight to offer either way. But I think this "poll" is meaningless
without asking all (or at least a large portion) of the rdeps
maintainers.
