[debian-mysql] MySQL in Jessie

I guess noone from pkg-mysql is willing to do this decision...
Also I am absolutely unhappy with this.

DeadRed/Fedora have made their decision towards mariadb.
SuSE (afaik) is supporting different forks (at least maria && mysql)

Until now I always thought Debian/Ubuntu is one of the most flexible and free
distros.
Not only free in terms of license issues but also freedom of choice.

Do I want to use apache/lighttpd/nginx -> I can choose!
But not when it comes to mysql forks?
