Thank you, it was a lot of work to get to this point! Still need to find a permanent place to live...

You know, I intended to draft the package myself...
But I'm currently stuck with only a MacBook Pro, and while I have qemu up and running with Linux, it is unbearably slow and flaky.

Would it be ok to ask you to solo this one?
It should be a pretty light-weight job.
Only remove this one patch that is obsoleted by upstream:
