If useful, more information about my system: 

Lenny;

perl, perl-base, perl-modules versions 5.10.0-19,
libalien-wxwidgets-perl (0.37-1), libwxbase2.6-dev (2.6.3.2.2-3),
libwxgtk2.6-dev (2.6.3.2.2-3), wx2.6-headers - all istalled from Lenny
repo;

libextutils* not installed.

Nothing another perl modules from CPAN installed; Wx is the first try. 
Running version of CPAN is v1.9205.
