Hm, that's nasty indeed.

The only thing I found looking through the diff is a note in
upstreams's NEW:
"* Add Glib::Flags::new, a constructor for flags objects."

Could you maybe create a small testcase to make debugging easier?

Or does someone else from the Debian Perl Group have more experience
with glib and xs and/or better debugging-fu than me?
