I just had a look, and there are more changes. Most of them
irrelevant, but one is interesting:
0.25-2 uses debhelper compatibility level 9 in order to enable all
hardening flags.

Besides that I see the following warning in the build log for -2:

RawIP.xs:614:9: warning: format '%u' expects argument of type 'unsigned int', but argument 2 has type '__time_t' [-Wformat=]

BTW: I'm confused which package version built under which environment
works or fails under which environment :)
