I've uploaded this patch (and refreshing po files) to Debian
Experimental as debsums 2.2.1~rc1.

If your feedback is positive, I'd upload it as 2.2.1 to unstable and
try to get this into stretch.

So far, the release candidate is still in that branch and not yet
merged into master.
