I understood the intent of the split, but that doesn’t make me
comfortable to act on a package family I don’t have much interest in
maintaining, and I don’t intend to subscribe to a list that is focusing
on such packages.

Therefore, as a practical result, since I won’t follow the messages
related to these packages (unless I pts-subscribe to them), don’t count
on me to act on these packages.

Since there is a team behind these few remaining packages, and since the
proper layout is already in place in most of the PECL packages, I don’t
believe it will be too much of a hassle for the team in charge to take
care of the remaining bits, and hope someone will follow up.
