thanks a lot for putting work into this issue.

However, it might be interesting to know what exactly you patched there,
so that rewviewing would be easier, what do you think?
Care to send your patch or use the Git repo?

Jake, should this package be co-maintained by pkg-privacy-maintainers?
If it's simply about updating from upstream, i can commit to that.
