Package: pulseaudio
Version: 1.1-1
Followup-For: Bug #541217

I have pulseaudio with rtkit installed, still pulseaudio does not seem to
use realtime scheduling. The result is, that sound in Skype is barely
atrocious, especially sound input crackles extremely. Without pulseaudio,
sound is just fine. However, since the latest GNOME depends on pulseaudio, it
is hard to avoid pulseaudio.

Unfortunately, rtkit does not seem to include any information regarding its
proper usage and/or configuration.

I have Ubuntu 11.10 installed on the same laptop, using the same /home
partition for user data, thus the same local configuration, and here, sound
with pulseaudio is largely flawless.
