The trick is to install your files in /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8, not
in /usr/lib/ruby/1.8.
$ cat debian/ruby-torrent.install 
rubytorrent* /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/1.8

This should probably be handled automatically by a ruby-support cdbs
class that would replace the current class.
