Fine by me.  Probably best to start a discussion about that with the
DEP-5 folks, with the hopes of making it official, but if that takes too
long then using a different format definition seems fine.

That said, lintian has some warnings for using a DEP-5-like format
without using the "correct" DEP-5 URL, so you may need to submit a
lintian patch to allow this alternate format.
