[Pkg-samba-maint] Bug#601501: cifs-utils: hostname not found

Package: cifs-utils
Version: 2:4.5-2
Severity: normal

I try to mount a share with:

sudo mount.cifs //ALEXDESKTOP/myexport /mnt/network/ -o user=alex,password=alex,rw -vvv
mount error: could not resolve address for ALEXDESKTOP: No address associated with hostname
No ip address specified and hostname not found.

But nmblookup ALEXDESKTOP gives the ip right , and
smbclient //ALEXDESKTOP/myexport -U alex
also works.

What could be wrong?

tail -f /var/log/samba/log.smbd|log.nmbd shows no error
