This file is current, and will be created/updated by the dhclient hook
that lives in /etc/dhcp/dhclient-enter-hooks.d/samba.

See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=629406 for some
discussion about moving this file to /run.
