Thanks for reporting this. I think it is a bug (thus
changing severity).

I think "-e" option should just have higher priority
than PASS_MAX_DAYS.

I need to check upstream for its behaviour regarding -e
option and would also be glad to hear Tomasz's opinion
on the matter.
