I am about the same mood, indeed. I'm highly confident in Javier
judgement, for sure but as you mention, this is as safe as any change
and we're indeed talking about a package in the base system (login).

I'm quite reluctant asking the release team as I bet they would
finally say "do just like you feel is the most appropriate" and thus I
don't really want to add mroe load on their shoulders.

For another situation related to the login package (dropping the
setuid bit from login), I have finally concluded to delay this
post-sarge. So, I think I'll do the same here.....unless other
comments convince me to change my mind....
