xerces 2.7?

Well, formally speaking the requirements as I know them are currently expressed in configure. With regard to 2.x, I believe there's no specific requirement to use 2.7+, though of course I now favor 3.0.

In any specific case, of course, there could be a bug, or since you're actually seeing a reference to the 2.7 namespace, the question/issue may be more about what's already been used to build some other component?
