[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#438544: network-manager should provide commandline method for selecting and authenticating to wireless networks

Package: network-manager
Version: 0.6.4-8+b1
Severity: wishlist

Currently, the only way to select or authenticate to a wireless network
or is with the Gnome or KDE frontend. It'd be useful if there was a
command-line interface (an extension of nm-tool, perhaps) that let you
select between the wired or wireless networks, and prompted for the
password as necessary, in the same way that nm-applet does.
