[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#765184: modemmanager: Polkit policy prevent geoclue 2 to get information from the modem

Package: modemmanager
Version: 1.4.0-1
Severity: important

Hello,

geoclue 2 is not running in the user session but in its own user.

When I tried to get the position using my modem, I got polkit asking me
for geoclue password (which doesn't have one as it's a system user).

Moreover, the general polkit configuration seems pretty strict and ask
for the user password for everything.

For the 1st issue I guess the "geoclue" user could be granted the needed
privileges in the configuration.

Otherwise the polkit integration could be disabled completely like in
fedora? (not sure this is a good idea)

Cheers,

Laurent Bigonville
