This is the exact symptoms caused by the firmware issue I mentioned.
Connection looks fine, but no IP packets are forwarded. I am pretty sure
it is fixed with the 4.7.2-1 kernel.

It's really that simple:  Just wait 10 ms...  Believe it or not.  Took
some time to figure it out though :)
