I saw your reply, but just for the record: in the future we should have
no longer problem with the merging of /etc/{,g}vimrc. In the past that
used to be a problem since the runtimepath listed there included the vim
version number. Now this is no longer the case since we used
/usr/share/vim/vimcurrent/ and as such merging problems wont cause in
the future unusability of the vim runtime.

Still, Debian Sarge shipped a vim version with the versioned-path in
/etc/vim/vimrc so we should expect problem with the next stable release
of Debian when people will erroneously choose not to upgrade their
/etc/{,g}vimrc.

Any idea who could lighten that burden is welcome (postinst which grep
for /usr/share/vim/vimcurrent and if it is not there prompt the user via
debconf for automatic patching of the runtimedir? don't know ...).

Cheers.
