Bug#400206: vim: Can not type Umlauts "o "a

Package: vim
Version: 1:7.0-122+1
Severity: important

With this vim version I can't enter the companions of ü anymore.
The "a acts like Backspace (and beeps on console), the "o seems to
do nothing. This happens in xterm and console, bash or zsh.
