Bug#579023: vim-gtk: Should distinguish Alt from 8th-bit-set characters

Package: vim-gtk
Version: 1:7.1.314-3+lenny2
Severity: wishlist
Since gVim handles keystrokes by itself, it should be able to distinguish
an <Alt-letter> combination from a character with the eighth bit set.
Currently if you say for example ':imap <M-h> foo', [g]Vim will substitute
'foo' for 'è' (e-grave).
