That's for informational purposes, not to imply that Vim typically
installs something named (g)viewdiff.  You can create a symlink to
(g)vim using the name (g)viewdiff and get the described behavior.

Similarly, using rviewdiff/rgviewdiff symlinks would start Vim in
restricted mode.
