Package: vim-gtk
Version: 2:7.4.225-1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
:e sftp://user@hostname
works in vim (asks password in commandline)
but does not work in gvim:
if x11-ssh-askpass is not installed, it hangs
if x11-ssh-askpass is installed it hangs, when the window
is closed however, x11-ssh-askpass is spawned.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
use public-key authentication

Thank you
Fulvio Ciriaco
