Thanks for pointing this to me, it is now fixed.

I talked with upstream and he/she released a new version (the previous
one had 200 commits done after the release). I have updated my package
to reflect this.

Would you be willing (and have the time) to sponsor this package ? I can
wait until jessie is released if you're busy with RC bug fixing right
now. (ITP bug is here: https://bugs.debian.org/769061)
