Welcome to Debian! Thanks for contributing to the Vim ecosystem.

I'm intending to update vim-policy once I'm able to get
vim-addon-manager adapted to leverage Vim's new "package" functionality.

Not necessarily. It's up to the maintainer. For example, Andrea
Capriotti has packaged quite a few addons independent of the team.

Again, that's up to you. :) However, I don't have a lot of extra time to
offer, so I can't guarantee respone times to sponsorship requests.
Also, it's probably better to work with mentors if you're interested in
eventually becoming a DM or DD.

Individual packages are fine. Given the current state of vim-scripts,
that's probably better. I've been delaying updating vim-scripts because
of various problems in vim-addon-manager that I know will be encountered
if those scripts are updated. I need to get vim-addon-manager fixed
first.
