I can only agree with Martin. Getting your local configuration overwritten is very irritating and unexpected. Defaults are there to be overridden by local configuration, not the other way round. The broken copy&paste scenario needs fixing on *every* headless Debian Stretch installation, which is very tedious. Thanks Carsten
