To configure a USB voice&data Modem using Asterisk

Dear Asterisk Team,
I have a voice &data USB modem with SIM slot, of Huawei make, altered by
Airtel India, which can be used to make calls using the service
provider's SIM card. I am using this modem to access internet, and wish
to use a close talk headphone to make and receive calls from the
SIM-Modem combo.
In windows this is easily done, using the provider's DashBoard. There is
also a third party software DC-unlocker which helped me crack the lock
of Airtel India. This company also has a Dashboard Creator software that
helps create a customised dashboard to make calls from my modem.
Can Asterisk help me do this in Debian?
