That's a great point. Thanks for pointing this out.

You're right. perhaps we should do that in the example action script and
close the bug.

Well, I think we should still do that. I think we mentioned several
times, that the examples are only able to show how things can work in
simple cases. We cannot provide solution for complex cases within the
framework if ifupdown alone. Action script can provide hooks for
implementing that.
