Since you have repeatedly demonstrated that you are not interested in
helping to fix this, please stop it.

You are complaining that the init script isn't in /etc/init.d anymore. A
deactivated init script does not help anything, we provide it in the
examples dir, along with instructions how to activate it. I asked me
sponsor for advice, and he suggested me that this was adequate (and
advised me against debconf abuse).
