Ahh - that's areasonable explanation.

I also don't know.  I have to admit that I personally do not
use this product any more and thus would like to hand over /
team maintain it anyway with somebody who uses this stuff.

I'm not sure whether the second solution is worth the effort.  If it
is only for this package I would prefer the split.  If there are
other packages featuring the same problem it might make sense.

I would be very happy about comments what would be reasonable to
do here.
