Many packages (like gimp, gtk+, even sane) use a "...-config" script
that simply says where the headers and libraries can be found. This is
very useful for installing these programs, for example, I can install
gimp with a prefix /usr/local/gimp, and as long as the gimp-config
file is in $PATH, any programs linking to it can easily find it. If
gphoto2-config is not found, I think you ought to install gphoto2...
