Duh! Forgot to say that this is on an Ultra 10 running Solaris 8.

Thanks again.

Hi,

I have an HP7490 and have installed sane back and front ends, but it looks like
the software isn't seeing the scanner:

sane-find-scanner: found SCSI scanner "hp scanjet 7400c 0.8M" at device
/dev/scg0c

root[sh]@media-gmp3-lab# ./xscanimage
[xscanimage] No scanners were identified.

Am I doing something wrong or is this something to do with HP changing the scsi
interface on later models? hp.conf is as follows:

root[sh]@media-gmp3-lab# more hp.conf
scsi HP
/dev/scg0c

I just tried appending the 'c' so it'll look at the correct target, but it still
didn't work. I've also tried xvscan to no avail and am running out of ideas, any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony
