I don't know about the card. Can you (or your friend) give some hints?
E.g. ISA or PCI? What's printed on the chips or the card?

For some cards, you can find info at
http://www.meier-geinitz.de/sane/mustek-backend/#SCSI . That's for
Mustek scanners, but maybe they use a similar card.
