I have looked through the spota6.sys file, but infortunately has not
found there reference to a type chipset of the SCSI-adapter. Though
there is a suspicion that it is the controller of a series Adaptec
AHA152x.

I want to notice, that my scanner has identical performances
circumscribed by you to the address
http://www.mostang.com/pipermail/sane-devel/2003-May/018730.html.
Therefore finally it is possible to tell, that the scanners of a series
ScanTak 2c/3c and series MaxiScan A4 by anything except for the name do
not differ.

Regards, Alex (Oleksiy O. Loktev).
