I don't have an AHA-2904 myself. However, from what I remember, there 
are two drivers for the AHA-2904: aic7xxx and aic7xxx_old. They 
should both be included in Suse 8.0. IIRC there were some problems 
with the new driver, so you may have more luck with the old one.
