I think that the symbols file will only be generated for comparison.
If debian/<package>.symbols does not exist, it won't do anything.
If it does, it will compare them and warn when symbols have changed.

I used dpkg-gensymbols to generate a symbols file, I guess it will be useful
to compare changes in the future.

Excluding the font files from Cura seems to work fine, it's picking them up
from the system automatically, as far as I can tell.
