Hi,

I am not in charge with wodim.
Actually i am developer of a friendly alternative.

Emphasis on "friendly". So the cdrkit people shall
please not take offense when i now state the assumption
that nobody feels competent to judge the implications
of CDR_NODMATEST in the context of wodim.

Technical remark about Wolfram Sang's mail of August 30:

The proposal about special handling for particular
drives seems to fit well into cdrecords ideas of
drive driving. (See man page, option driver=)

I myself would dispute that idea as a whole and rather
promote modest conservative activities on operating
system and MMC drive. So 'get_dmaspeed' should rather
be a special option for experts and not part of normal
drive operations.

Have a nice day :)

Thomas
