Not that i would know more about AHCI than about
ACPI.

It produces children. Mine does not.
Question is whether this is a sign of trouble.

Whatever, the dmesg messages with blank CD are
the best indicator for the problem.
One does not even have to make a burn attempt
if they come for more than a few seconds when
the drive ended blinking after loading the tray.
