Arduino + iPhone + minicom on iPhone, minicom not displaying message

Hello, I will try an keep this brief as possible.  I recently downloaded
minicom for my iPhone 3GS, and I am trying to see a message from an
Arduino.  When I launch minicom it states that it is in offline mode.  I
created a google doc ->

I am currently using the setup described in the google doc, and am having
no luck see the message displayed in minicom on my iphone.
