It's obvious when you see it: cwd() is only needed as a fallback
for a non-existent HOME, and I believe our buildds use
HOME=/nonexistent or something like that.

It's now #577011, and I just reported the issue upstream.

Now, sparc has other failures too. I guess -Duse64bitint doesn't work
everywhere after all...
