Here's a status of current patches.
Can be committed upstream:
- 12-add-DESTDIR-to-MPC.dpatch. It may need a review before
acceptance; beside I have not tested that it does not introduce
regressions elsewhere. What do you suggest here? Ask for
comments on ace-users? Commit it then check scoreboards? Something
else?
Needs more work:
- 20-versioned_libs.dpatch; and
- 34-bts386713.dpatch
the first attempt to merge this upstream was rejected in May because
the patch is said to be usefull only if ACE loading mechanism is
changed as well.
- 15-fix-lzo-flags. That's a hack.
Needs discussion:
- 11-promote-QtResource-to-qt4.dpatch. That's also a hack, but Qt3 is
meant to be removed from Debian. I believe a lot of distro will do
the same, so there should be no point keeping qt3.
Needs wider testing:
- 14-fix-tcl-flags.dpatch, since you didn't picked it on your last
synch. I believe it should be harmless, but I haven't checked because
I don't have access to an Unbuntu machine.
- 19-gcc43.dpatch to silent out a g++ >= 4.3 warning on ACE_UNUSED_ARG
macro. by the way there are two other way to achieve the same goal:
1. do not name the argument in the implementation signature
2. use gcc __attribute__((__unused__))
Both require a change at the signature level.
Not meant to be merged:
- 92-default-ACE_ROOT.dpatch, not really needed for compilation I
think. Mostly a convenience patch.
- 90-patch-mpc-basedir.dpatch: adapts to our layout.
- 91-patch-dg-basedir.dpatch: adapts to our layout.
These last two patches could possibly be refined so that they can be
used by others.

That's JRuby to CORBA?

Too bad. Seemed like a great tool. Did you have the opportunity to try
it?
