What about merging patches up stream? That is important on the long
term, rpm packages are now shipped by default with each release and a
customer funded a MPC generator that generates the rpm spec file so that
soon we don't have to maintain rpm spec files, we just generate them.

R2corba should be pretty easy, it just uses some tao libs and ruby. We
are working on a 1.0 release of R2CORBA, together with JR2CORBA

It seems to be done for some time, not sure if they are still alive.
