This is real strange. Both your computers are running the same project worldcommunitygrid project? The error message may be wrong. Please try chaning the project.

...and change back if the other works, I mean. SETI might be worth trying since completely Open Source which helps debugging.

You might also try to build the client yourself which might indicate some missconfiguration.

The most likely cause are firewall settings. Are they identical between your machines? iptables -L gives insights here.
