yes, this makes sense too, considering we will probably have to change
things again if ume becomes official. Postponed. :)

I've just laid out the plans, no work on unified tarball yet.
OTOH I have already pushed some changes needed to build Mame 0.147.
They should not harm, apart from the refreshed patches which I'm
afraid will not apply to 0.146 anymore. I'm really sorry, I missed the
bug report in my too-cluttered email. :(
Feel free to revert things if you need it, but please keep the -mtune
compiler options in rules file, as Mame FTBFS on i386 otherwise and
-march may lead to segfaulting code in amd64.

I'll be offline most of the time in the next few days as my phone line
at home is faulty at present. I'll keep reading my email here at work
for the time being.
