update-grub and Xen Dom0 kernel (lenny)

Hello,

I discovered that update-grub from the package grub-pc doesn't recognize
Xen Dom0 kernels as special case. Instead it adds a standard section for
Xen kernels to /boot/grub/grub.cfg, just like it does for any standard
non-xen kernel. Is this known and intended, or did I maybe miss
something?

From my current understanding I would call this an important bug, and I
cannot believe that nobody discovered that issue before. That's the only
reason why I don't report it as a bugreport though, as I believe that
you're aware of the issue and have a strong argument for the current
behaviour.

I discovered that on a fresh debian/lenny installation with the
following setup:
grub-pc/1.96+20080724-10
xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64/3.2.1-2
linux-image-2.6.18-xen-3.1-2-amd64/2.6.18.dfsg.1-22etch2+xen.1
linux-modules-2.6.18-xen-3.1-2-amd64/2.6.18.dfsg.1-22etch2+xen.1

The last two are packages from waldis Xen kernel repository at
http://kernel-archive.buildserver.net/debian-kernel/xen/ but the issue
is reproducible with official linux-image-2.6.18-6-xen-amd64 from
debian/etch as well.

greetings,
 jonas
