Package: grub-common
Version: 1.99-27+deb7u1
Severity: important
File: os-prober

Dear Maintainer,

I was cloning a squeeze partition (-> wheezy upgrade) in my testing machine.
First with gparted and later also with tune2fs I changed the UUID of that
partition and started update-grub (with os-prober active) in an other wheezy
partition to make this cloned partition bootable. A boot of the cloned squeeze
was not possible and in grub.cfg (in wheezy) I found an entry for this
partition with two different UUID's: first (in search line) the new and second
(in linux line) the old one. Changing the UUID of the cloned partition only
effected the first entry.
So I went to other computer with this partion (without an other partition with
this UUID), put the old UUID in the partition and after update-grub I could
boot cloned squeeze.

Thank You
Joachim
